First, I need to change the maximum # of active obj.s because since this is a zelda game, i have a lot of objects in the play area at once. Secondly, I'm trying to make it so it stays above the 2nd player's head without making 1,000,000 copies of it. Every time he moves, it goes and makes a new copy. I set it to display at (#,#) from Link 2...

CnC (Click & Create). It's basically the same as TGF. I prefer CnC though...

I don't think you can change the number of max objects in CnC you can't in tgf.
And I think for that name problem first make sure you dont have "save background" not selected under object preferences. If you do have it selected its probally something with your event editor code.

Using the 'always position' command doesn't work with text objects I'm afraid, as the 'display text' effectively creates a new one in the desired position. One sketchy way to get around this would be to set up an event saying 'every 0.01 seconds, first erase text, then display text at (#,#)' etc. However, this would probably cause slowdown. Your best bet is either to set up an actuve object with the text in it, or use the edit object, as I think that can be repositioned as well. If you like, I'll have a look at it to see if I can find the problem.

I think the only click program able to handle more than 200 active objects is Multimedia Fusion. Sorry about that, I know how annoying it is!
